Be Mindful...With Your Pet!

Hi Everyone...

This is an Awesome piece on How to be Mindful with your Pet & how pets help us Tremendously!!! I took a Human-Pet Bonding Psychology class in college and loved it! Cat Cafes were not mentioned in the piece but you probably know they have to popping up. Why?!!! :-) I know I would not have survived, or at least not as well without my Sterling when my Dusty had to leave me and then my mom. My dog and cats over the years always seem to know when I am sick and are so comforting. I'll wake up with them laying on my legs or on the pillow next to me. Check out this post for some great info!!!

Just Stop Swimming

Hi Everyone...

Well, I'm the "Just Keep Swimming" type of person but I do understand sometimes you have to stop for a bit or you will run out of energy. Here is a very good piece in Psychology Today about the Mental Health Benefits of Doing Nothing. While it focuses on those who are older, this is true for ANY AGE!!!

Live Near Trees!

Hi Everyone...

This is a pretty good piece on the benefits of trees, however they do not mention Dr. Qing Li's work with Shinrin Yoku and the benefit of Phytoncides on the immune system.

Get Some Nature!

Hi Everyone,..

This is an Excellent piece on how the newest generations are not spending time in nature and the resulting consequences. And NO, working on tech in nature does not count! :-)

Few notes...

* Dr. Qing Li is one of the leading Japanese researchers in Shinrin Yoku.

* Dr. Jean Twenge and I communicated a number of years ago when her book The Narcissism Epidemic was published.

* They do not mention Blue Space/Blue Mind but of course it should be included.
